CRI&P JE Hough Conductor Book 3-12 to 5-20-1905
A Freight Conductor in Fairbury, Nebraska during 1905
J.E. Hough was a Rock Island conductor working out of Fairbury, Nebraska. Some trips were made west to Phillipsburg, KS on the Denver line, while other trips were made east to Council Bluffs. Conductor Hough worked many extras, including some stock extras. Regular trains were Trains 97 west and 90 east. Some turns were also run to Belleville, connection with the line east towards Topeka and Kansas City, and a couple trips were made to Beatrice. Unfortunately I do not have a timetable from this era so I don’t know what was timetable scheduled during this time. At the end of the book, Conductor Hough worked what appear to be locals 75 and 76 between Fairbury and Council Bluffs.
